As of Oct 23, 2009 FB made removed the highlight bar. This script no longer has any purpose, except as a legacy script for learning purposes, and/or to see where we have come from.

No longer applicable to Facebook. DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT IT NOT WORKING. THERE NO LONGER IS A HIGHLIGHT BAR.

  • Fairly large bug fix here, although many people will not have ever seen it.
    • This fixes this script to work when FB is set to display in languages other than English
    • This script, however, still always displays the settings in English

  • Added the ability to toggle the entire Highlight bar by clicking on the word 'Highlights'. This will quick toggle the content of the Highlight Bar.

  • Added a dropdown to easily display hidden content.
  • Updated the code to prevent the dropdown from appearing if there is no content hidden.
  • Updated the code on the Friends List section to clear cache if there are no lists to be hidden.

  • Added an entire graphical interface to allow easy customization.
  • It also caches your lists to be hidden, so they will not be reloaded every time a page is loaded.

  • Added the ability to use profile lists to hide items from the highlight bar. For example, you can use hide the "Limited Profile".
    • This will, however, take a moment or two to process, because it loads multiple pages in the background to query the lists and get the names associated with them.

  • Added the ability to search for certain people and remove them from the highlight bar as well. Just edit that section at the top of the source.
  • Added the ability to hide highlights that are just a friend commenting on something, or a friend just "liking" something.

  • The code is totally revised to be much more efficient by searching directly for the items instead all of the div elements.
  • Removed a bug where only when people would get into relationships were hidden, but not when they broke up
